The Amalgamated Rural Teachers Union of Zimbabwe (ARTUZ) is a trade union formed to defend the rights, dignity, and working conditions of Zimbabwean teachers while advancing the right to quality education in Zimbabwe’s communities.
Rural educators have long worked under harsh conditions—poor salaries, inadequate housing, and under-resourced schools. ARTUZ exists to organize teachers to collectively challenge these injustices and amplify the voice of rural educators in national policy debates.
